I wrote this article at school in the library during lunch period LOLLLLL!
Starting 8 AM today, kids aged five to eleven will have the privilege to get vaccinated. The vaccine will be one-third of the dosage required for adults, and the doses will be spaced eight weeks apart. To book an appointment, people are invited to go on the Clic-Santé website and select "Vaccin COVID-19 5 à 11 ans" on the platform. The vaccine will be offered in both schools and vaccination centres, where parents can accompany their children.
Last week, Health Minister Christian Dubé announced that the vaccine for kids under twelve had been approved by Health Canada. then that the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines had arrived on Canadian soil. He declared that vaccination for five- to eleven-year-olds could start as early as next week, and that's how it turned out.
My weigh-in: More than a quarter of Québec's parents of younger children are opposed to vaccination for their children, but not me. I almost cried when I received the news on my Apple Watch: I am getting my first dose today after school. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!
