Canadians who have been vaccinated with one dose or more will be allowed to socialize outdoors over the summer months. This includes my parents, who have recently gotten their first vaccine.
Provinces should begin to lift public health restrictions only once 75 per cent of all adults have had at least one vaccine dose and 20 per cent are fully vaccinated. Right now, we’re at 50 per cent. After reaching that 75 per cent milestone, Canadians can safely enjoy camping, hiking, picnics, small backyard BBQs and drinks on a patio.
However, Canadians can’t do this yet, since we’re not at 75 per cent yet. As well as that, I’m not even twelve yet, so I won’t even get my first dose in 2021. Hopefully, though, the vaccine for the 9-11 year old age group will be approved soon.
