What Will Halloween Look Like This Year?

What Will Halloween Look Like This Year?

By Lela S. <0

Last year, we all know that COVID-19 ruined all of our lives by cancelling the thirty-first of October. The year before that, Halloween was postponed because of the muffin rain. This year, the kids of CookyLela News are ready for the first PROPER Halloween in ages.

However, there are a few restrictions that are going to be superimposed. For one, in Quebec, we’re not going to be allowed to yell “trick-or-treat” at people’s houses when we ring the doorbell for tricks and treats, which is a huge bummer. As well as that, we’re not allowed to go inside people’s houses, nor singing or yelling. We’re advised to wash and sanitize our hands, plus keep a bottle of hand sanitizer handy just in case.

For handing out candies, we’re supposed to give them out in INDIVIDUAL BAGS, which is really inefficient but still absolutely necessary due to our current situation. We have to respect the 10-person gathering limit when it comes to parties (which shouldn’t be a big deal, since CLN’s Halloween Party is going to be held online).

But the best (or worst, it depends) part: NO PARENTS ALLOWED! Yep, that’s right, this Halloween, only kids are going to be allowed to trick-or-treat. Which is both a good and a bad thing, if you ask me.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hi there! Parents aren’t allowed to go trick-o-treating with their children as a COVID-19 precaution.
