How much exercise do you need?
The answer is around 1 hour/60 minutes. This can be as complicated as doing 15 200 IMs in swimming, or taking a walk. You can tell if you are exercising enough when you are sweating (hard to tell when swimming) or out of breath. If you can hum your favorite song while doing it, you are probably not doing enough or working as hard as you can. Some people don’t realize this, but you burn a lot of calories walking around school (maybe 500 for me more or less). This should not count. Try to work out when you have the chance if you have not yet.
Some people only need 30 minutes depending on how vigorous your workout is. I only use the treadmill for about 15 minutes a day. That might sound small, but I’m running at 7 miles an hour for a full mile in 15 minutes. I also stretch after. This is a good vigorous exercise, and eventually, it will become easy for you if you keep it up.
Stretching
Stretching is good when you exercise because it warms up and cools down the muscles. If you do not stretch, you risk injuring yourself (like when I forgot to stretch before getting into the pool and had to do a whole field trip with crutches).
