Quebec reports less than 300 new cases per day + several regions are downgraded from red to orange
By Lela S.
276 new cases and one new death have been reported today. This is the lowest amount of cases since September, and the government has been beginning to ease the restrictions.
However, the restrictions should be eased slowly, and people must still follow the measures in place. As well as that, people over the age of 12 are encouraged to get vaccinated. 5,583,075 doses have been administered so far.
The downward trend in COVID-19 indicators comes as several regions in the province are being downgraded from the highest pandemic alert level allowing restrictions to ease.
Five regions, including Quebec City and Montreal, will be downgraded from red to orange, which means that gyms and restaurant dining rooms will be allowed to open.
