Deep Water Book Review
By- TAY
Deep Water is a book by Watt Key that tells the story of Julie, Shane, and Mr. Johnson after the diving boat drifts away because of Julie’s sick father driving it. Having to care for Shane and Mr. Johnson, Julie has the same question over and over and over and over again.
Will they survive?
The story begins when Julie is trying to help her fathers business, so she helps him with the tours. Their tourists,
Shane and Mr. Johnson are excited to take the trip. But on the way there, Julie’s dad starts to feel sick, but they continue with the trip. They get into the water. But 20 min. later, the anchor is gone.

This was one of the books that my Outschool Book Club
was reading and I really enjoyed it. This book is very interesting and makes me wonder what happens next. I like the ocean, so this makes me enjoy the book much more.
I would recommend this book to people who like survival, specifically ocean survival. The age range would be 10-13 year olds but a 8 or 9 year old can read it if they are really good readers. I would rate this book a 4.7 out of 5 because of the survival story, I just really like the book!
That’s all for this book CLN Fans!
Make sure to check out the book and the Outschool Class!
